A Note from Program Director, Pat Medina: Regarding point #8 in the above article, I agree that professional networking is an invaluable tool for Career Success, and would suggest joining your local Paralegal Association SFPA rather than the National Association NFPA. I also must disagree with the value of the PACE exam and the RP certification for those who pass the PACE exam. The legal profession, and more importantly- attorneys, in California have no knowledge of this exam or certification, and remain significantly more impressed with an ABA Paralegal certificate, which is the ONLY requirement recognized in Business and Professions Code 6450.
