Earn Credit toward a Degree

Open University courses are recorded as resident credit on SF State transcripts and can count toward undergraduate and graduate degrees at SF State, but there are limitations.

SF State will accept for credit toward a baccalaureate degree up to 24 semester units of SF State College of Extended Learning credit.

SF State will generally accept for transfer credit toward graduate degrees up to six semester units of Open University credit.
