Certificate of Completion in Multimedia Studies
In keeping up with current cross-discipline trends, our Multimedia Studies Program offers one of the most flexible certificates available. Choose your courses from one of several areas of study to craft a certificate that fulfills your personal and career goals or just take individual courses to update your skills.
General requirements to earn a full multimedia certificate:
- Minimum 300 hours of course study.
- Effective Résumé Writing and Portfolio Development (included in 300 hour minimum).
MSP courses carry continuing education units (CEUs) where 1 CEU=10 course hours. In addition, the MSP accepts relevant course hours from other SF State departments, including academic units where 1 unit=15 course hours.
You need not apply for the full certificate in order to take any of our courses (except for Portfolio Development).
How to Apply
You can download the certificate application (PDF) here, or request one in person. (You will need Acrobat Reader to view this PDF file.)
For entrance to a certificate a $50, non-refundable application fee is required in the form of a check or money order, made payable to SF State-CEL (credit cards cannot be accepted). Enrollment in the certificate is not required to register for MSP classes.
