Online Courses in Web Design & Development: Learn HTML, Flash, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator, & More
Through the SF State Multimedia Studies Program online, students from around the globe are able to learn about Web development and interactive digital media from the same industry experts teaching in San Francisco. The courses currently cover such topics as visual design, interaction design, HTML, Flash, and more. Courses consist of 8 to 12 modules, and each module is one or two weeks in duration. All courses are open for twelve weeks.
Taking classes via the Web offers several advantages. All online classes are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, so you can take a class at your convenience and at your own speed. In addition, no matter where you are in the world, Multimedia Studies Online connects you to our faculty.
Our online courses include exercises, projects, and collaborative assignments. The rich learning environment features tutorials and courses with audio lectures, threaded discussion, readings, illustrations, and video.
Instructors answer e-mail questions, participate in bulletin board discussions, and personally evaluate assignments. Instructors also update content to insure that courses stay on the cutting edge. Instructors and teaching assistants keep scheduled, live chat office hours each week. Rather than going to class once a week, online students typically log on to a course at least three times per week for about an hour. In addition, students complete offline homework such as projects, research assignments, and readings.
