DSC LAB

The goal of the DSC Lab is to position the Digital Sister Cities, their digital media businesses, educational institutions and new entrepreneurs to take full advantage of lightpaths, true real time collaboration and the future of the Internet. To this end INGI is developing following tools at its DSC Lab:

Sebastian: Sebastian is a next generation Internet media desktop designed for remote real-time collaborative development of digital media. The Sebastian application will give creative professionals the ability to collaborate remotely using industry standard software applications in a real-time synchronous environment.

Damien: The Damien project is focused on delivering a new API for game developers. This API will support a rich set of interfaces to enable developers to take advantage of the deterministic and high bandwidth attributes of the point-to-point lightpath connections.

Brainstormer: The Brainstormer Project is a collaborative, videogame technology-based idea-sharing environment. Through 3D animated caricatures of themselves, users present their ideas in online brainstorm sessions. This project pragmatically leverages the possibilities latent in the combination of information visualization and cartoon character animation.
