EDUCATION
In today’s knowledge economy sophisticated communication technologies have been key drivers for education and industry. To promote the values of equitable development, INGI is dedicated to building alliances among educational institutions to insure the capacity for successful integration of Next Generation technologies in all communities. INGI’s effort to reach out to communities at all levels is not limited to higher education. INGI also works with a number of regional governments to promote these values globally. INGI recently developed a pathways model of convergence for youth, education, workforce, and economic development. The Pathways model is currently being deployed in Oakland, San Francisco and Paris with funding from each of those Cities. INGI launched the Youth For Service scholarship dedicated to creating educational and workforce opportunities for Bay Area youth in the Digital Arts. This program is a unique collaboration between Youth for Service, a San Francisco community based organization, and San Francisco State University and funded by the Youth for Service Endowment. The Endowment has created a number of scholarships for Youth to pursue professional certification, university education, and jobs in the digital economy of the Bay Area. INGI also equipped a cutting edge Computer Lab that dedicated to Orville Luster, executive director of Youth for Service for 27 years. |
