DIGITAL PATHWAYS
Digital Pathways: Pathways is an umbrella term representing a model of convergence for youth, education, workforce, and economic development. The model includes engaging successful youth development organizations in key sectors (Digital Media and Health Professions to start) with workforce investment dollars to bridge economic development priorities for regions. The Pathways model is currently being deployed in Oakland and San Francisco with funding from each of those Cities. In its current iteration, students will graduate from their Community Based Organization’s into SF STATE CEL Certificate Programs (Music Recording Industry, Digital Media, Community Health Workers) and prepare for matriculation into higher education and the workforce. Pathways is also serving as a model for activity in the network of Digital Sister Cities.
