Introduction:
Hospitality Management
The Hospitality Management certificate program is designed to meet the needs of non-matriculated students who wish to change career or learn specific concepts and skills in hospitality management within a concentrated period of time. This program is focused on lodging, restaurants/food services, recreation/resort business and is also practically oriented toward skills and occupations. It is a 24-unit program, including internship study in a coherent set of academic courses offering a certificate in Hospitality Management. This program allows students to take classes in hospitality management while gaining hands-on practical and internship experience in the hospitality industry. The award of a certificate means that the holder has completed the required courses and related work experience at an acceptable level of academic accomplishment in a specific area. The certificate indicates to a prospective employer that the University validates the certificate program in Hospitality Management.
