Executive Certificate in Financial Planning
Program Structure
The Executive Certificate in Financial Planning is a sequential six-course certificate program that meets on Friday night and Saturday, every other weekend. Students can expect to complete the program in nine months.
Admission Criteria
Participants in the certificate program must have a four-year degree or equivalent work experience. Any requests for exceptions to the above admissions requirements must be made in writing to the program director.

Enrollment Tuition
Costs for the six-course curriculum is $5,400, plus books and materials. A non-refundable deposit will be required with the application. The tuition is non-refundable after the start of the first class meeting.
Certificate
Upon successful completion of all required courses, participants will receive a certificate of completion from SF State Extended Learning. San Francisco State University is a registered provider with the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. (CFP Board), and upon approval of the program, students who successfully complete the Executive Certificate will be eligible to sit for the CFP® Certification Examination.
