These workshops are designed with a holistic approach to the requirements of planning, managing, measuring and reporting results of your meeting or event.
These workshops are important and relevant to anyone who wants to implement sustainability within an organization; a business, an event, or a venue.
This is what you can expect:
- Business Case for Sustainable Events: Find out how to implement sustainable best practices for your organization to reduce negative impacts on the environment, increase profitability, and add value to the community in which you do business.
- A Sustainability E-Guide Youll receive an online text, which includes over 20 modules of educational information and resources, Pre-work required.
- Panel of Experts will discuss best practices related to: water, represented by the PUC: energy, by PG&E; and zero waste, by Recology
- First College Training by designated Green Meeting Industry Council (GMIC) Trainers on the principles of Sustainable Meeting and Event Standards - A certificate will be awarded.
- Tour on Teacher Bus to the Recology Disposal and Art Museum and an onboard presentation and tour of sustainable transportation sites.
- Seminar at San Franciscos Fishermans Wharf featuring an Aquarium of the Bay presentation of Sustainable Seafood-Seafood Watch Program.
