Education: Professional Development Courses for Teachers
Introduction
Professional Development Courses for Teachers
(Courses are on CD ROM)
The College of Extended Learning is excited to offer a series of courses designed to help teachers master the challenges of today's classrooms. The topics covered fall into three main categories: Classroom Management, Special Needs Students, and Violence & Harassment in the Schools. These courses can be completed at home at your own pace and time. Students may enroll at any time throughout the semester. The courses generally take about two weeks to complete. For credit, courses must be completed by the end of the semester. There are practice exams and a final exam that will be taken on your computer.
All courses offer upper division education credit that may be applied toward advancement on your salary scale. (Please check with your HR director for details and confirmation.) A Certificate of Completion will be awarded for successful completion of each category of courses with a "C" grade or better.
Registration: Registration is open for these CD ROM courses from April 29 until July 25. You may register in any one course, combination of courses or an entire Certificate Program. All coursework must be completed by August 16. Course materials will be mailed to you approximately two weeks after registration fees have been received. Grades are not sent to students. See Grades & Transcripts.
