Join Us at the SF State Downtown Campus

In January 2007, Extended Learning relocated to the brand new SF State downtown campus at 835 Market Street (the corner of Market and Powell).
This location is the historic site of the San Francisco Emporium, best known for its eye-popping glass ceiling atrium, which has been preserved and adorns the building. This dynamic environment in the heart of downtown, is directly on the Powell Street BART and Muni lines, and close to affordable parking.

We offer our academic & professional development programs in an environment designed to make your experience at Extended Learning even more rewarding. Interactive kiosks are available so that you can check daily classes, events, and area happenings all at once. Twenty-four spacious classrooms and eight computer labs help us welcome more students. We offer special weekend seminars in addition to daytime, evening, and online classes. And for those who'd like to combine classes with a city experience, you can dine out, or catch a movie before or after class. 835 Market Street houses popular retail shops, restaurants, a theatre complex, and more.

But most importantly, the Downtown Campus allows Extended Learning to expand its resources to students as well as the community, and provide access to more SF State programs. In addition to Extended Learning, the Downtown Campus houses SF State graduate business programs, and other departments and programs of San Francisco State University.
