SF State Extended Learning Granted Project Management Institute (PMI^®) Registered Education Provider (R.E.P.) Status

SAN FRANCISCO, CA – San Francisco State University’s College of Extended Learning is now able to offer classes as a Project Management Institute (PMI) Registered Education Provider (R.E.P.), enabling Project Management Professionals to earn Professional Development Units (PDUs) required to maintain their certification under the PMI Continuing Certification Requirements Program.  A PMP certified individual needs to earn a total of 60 PDUs during each three-year cycle, as otherwise their certification may be suspended or revoked.

“Our program will be very attractive for participants as they won't have the time-consuming chore of applying to PMI to justify receiving PDUs for their course work; it will happen automatically, as designated courses are now PMI sanctioned,” commented Jeff Dunn, Ph.D., Senior Project Manager and Instructor at SF State Extended Learning. “Recognition by the principal international organization certifying professional excellence in the discipline is a great achievement.  It will enable even more business professionals to enhance their career viability while experiencing a quality education.”

SF State Extended Learning has been offering Project Management within its portfolio of professional development programs since 2005, which allows participants to prepare for the PMI Certification exam to become a certified Project Management Professional (PMP^®).
